How do you know what type of security clearance you are getting?

I recently swore in as a 68w health care specialist for the Army. 3 weeks after swearing in I got a call saying I needed to meet with an investigator for my "security clearance." I was unaware that I would even need one for the MOS I picked. Anyways I am not sure what type of clearance I am getting? I am guessing its the lowest, a confidential clearance. The Investigator was pressed for time and pushed our meeting asap because he had to get it out to washington that day. He had already ran a credit check and done a background investigation. So I am wondering how long it will take before I know the results, or even what type of clearance I may be getting. Any information on this subject would be helpful. Google didnt prove much help. Thanks.
