What is the precedure for having a bailiff pay somebody a visit.?

As i have said before i am in the situtaion of being married to a Thai woman. I have tried to evade the divorce until she was actually sent back to Thailand because her Visa has run out. I am of the belief she has as yet not gone back to Thailand. Anyway i was called the other evening by her solicitor and after a few niceties he concluded our conversation by saying that he must get a bailiff to pay me a visit. Is getting a bailiff that easy, can a bailiff just pay me a visit without any prior court hearing.
